Wento asal kel al leyali wel ayam
جر القلم بالشوق خطه جدام
The pen drags with longing, writing in front of me
Jarr el galam bshoog khatah jidakm
حبره محبه وصورتك فكر وألهام
Its ink is love, and your image is thought and inspiration

نوفي ولكن ما نوصل وفاكم
We remain loyal, but we can’t reach your promise
Nawfi walakin ma nowasil wefakm
الكم وفى ومنك الوفا ياخذ أحكام
You were loyal, and from you, loyalty takes its judgments
Elkm wefa w’mnk alwifa yakhith ahkam
مزن(ن) بروقه لاضيات بهواكم
