O one who holds the head of pride with self-respect
Ya gabthin ras al ma’azah bi'izat nafs
سلمك ربي من حسود وبلاسي
May God protect you from the envious and troubles
Salamak raby mn hasood weh bilasi
يا نادر بين الخلايق فريد الجنس
O rare one among people, unique in your kind
Ya nadir bayn al khalayig fared eljns
يا صقر نادر من سلالة بني ياسي
O rare falcon from the lineage of Yas
Ya sagr nadir mn sulalet Bani Yasi

يا غارس ٍ أحلى وأغلى وأعلى غرس
O planter of the sweetest, most precious, and highest tree
Ya gharis ahla weh aghla weh a'la ghars
غرس الحضارة ومجد ٍ ماله قياسي
The planting of civilization and glory with no measure
Ghars al hadarah weh majd malah igyasi
دارك عروس زينوها بليلة عرس
Your home is a bride adorned on her wedding night
Darik aroosn zayanoha bi lailat ers
لبستها استبرق وياقوت وألماسي
She wears brocade, rubies, and diamonds
Labastaha istabraq weh yagoot weh almasi

لقنتنا يابوخليفة علوم ودرس
You taught us, O Abu Khalifa, knowledge and lessons
Laqantana ya Bu Khalifah olom weh dars
علمتنا كيف الصخر يمسك الساسي
You taught us how the rock holds the foundation
Alamtina kayf asakhr yamsik esasi
اسمك ياقايدنا يزين حروف الطرس
Your name, O our leader, adorns the letters of the page
Ismk ya qayidna yizayn horof atars
يا عود عز ٍ ترسخ في الوطن راس
O symbol of pride, deeply rooted in the foundation of the homeland
Ya oud izin tarsakh fel watan rasi

الحال ذا اليوم ماهو مثل حال الأمس
The condition today is not like it was in the past
Elhal thal yom mahu mithl hal el ams
خضرت صحرا الوطن من بعد الاطعاسي
The desert of the homeland has become green after hardship
Khadhart sahra elwatan mn ba’ad el atasi
نورت مثل القمر في عتم ليل غرس
You lit up like the moon in the dark of night
Nawart mthl algamar fe etm lailn ghers
يانورنا بك نماري نور لاشماسي
O our light, with you we measure a light beyond the sun
Ya noorna bik nemari noor al ashmasi

غنّا لك الكاعب الاملد رهيف الحس
The maiden with a delicate sense sings for you
Ghanna lek el kaa’eb el amlad raheef al hes
غض الصبا غرنجي والعود مياسي
She is youthful, with the grace of a precious oud
Ghad esaba gharniji wel oud mayasi
يسلب وينهب إذا شل بعيونه النعس
He robs and takes if the drowsiness falls in his eyes
Yasleb weh yanheb etha shal b’ayonah an’aas
وخشم ٍ سليل ٍ توّرد بين الأقواسي
And a nose that is the descendant of one who stands tall between the archways
Weh khashmin seleelin towarad bayn al agwasi
